Nominations for swim meets

Download and print out the above EBSC Nomination Form. Fill out desired carnival, event, stroke, and recorded time. Place in envelope along with cash or cheque made out EBSC. This envelop is to be placed in the NOMINATION BOX at the office beside the 50m Churchie pool. Nominations MUST be in no later than the closing date advertised by our club.

Club Afternoons - Night

Friday is club afternoon. Registration will be from 4pm unless other wise advertised. The first race will be at 4.30pm. Marshals will need to report to the desk on arrival. Those on the Canteen and Barbeque Roster will need to check their duties. Parents must volunteer their assistance in setting up, time keeping etc. as without parental involvement Club night cannot run efficiently.

Club afternoons run under QSA guidelines. All swimmers learn correct stroke techniques, starts, turns and finishes for races. They become accustomed to QSA meet expectations. There is a probation period during which the Club Referee will explain the correct method. After the probation period, swimmers are disqualified for any infringement and their time is not recorded. Although this may appear harsh, it is better that this happens amongst friends and supporters rather than at a large carnival.

Guidelines for Parents

Remember to check the club’s numbered newsletters which are issued regularly by email. There are copies on the notice boards at the 25m and 50m pools. The club will not run without parents support.

Club Championships

To compete in individual Age Championship events swimmers must be Full or Associate Members of EBSC.

To qualify for Age Champion swimmers must compete in all four strokes unless under 8 years. They must also have swum 50 metres in the stroke at four club afternoons prior to the closing of nominations. If joining after Christmas they must have swim at two club afternoons. Variations to these rules are at the discretion of the Club executive Committee.

The Annual Age Championships will be held as programmed (historically in March). The swimmers age group is determined by their age at the 1 March. Nominations MUST be lodged with the Nominations Secretary by the set date on your Club Calendar. Late championship nominations WILL NOT BE accepted under any circumstances.
